How to do a syphilis test at home?
Syphilis is a sexually transmitted infection caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum subspecies pallidum. The signs and symptoms depend on the stage it presents: primary, secondary, latent or tertiary. The primary stage classically presents with a single chancre (a firm, painless, non-itchy skin ulceration usually between 1 cm and 2 cm in diameter), though there may be multiple sores. In secondary syphilis, a diffuse rash occurs, which frequently involves the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. There may also be sores in the mouth or vagina.Latent syphilis has no symptoms and can last years. In tertiary syphilis, there are gummas (soft, non-cancerous growths), neurological problems, or heart symptoms. Syphilis has been known as "the great imitator", because it may cause symptoms similar to many other diseases. That is why it is of great importance to have Easy Detection of syphilis. How to use Syphilis Rapid Test Kit

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS:
  • · POSITIVE:Two lines appear. One colored line should be in the control line region (C) and another apparent colored line should be in the test line region (T).*NOTE: The intensity of the color in the test line region (T) will vary depending on the concentration of TP antibodies present in the specimen. Therefore, any shade of color in the test line region (T) should be considered positive.
  • · NEGATIVE: One colored line appears in the control line region (C). No line appears in the test line region (T).
  • · INVALID: Control line fails to appear. Insufficient specimen volume or incorrect procedural techniques are the most likely reasons for control line failure. Review the procedure and repeat the test with a new test. If the problem persists, discontinue using the test kit immediately and contact your local distributor.
