Test for COVID-19 & Influenza in 30 Minutes or Less

COVID-19, caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and influenza (flu), caused by influenza A and B viruses, are both contagious respiratory diseases with similar symptoms such as fever, cough, and fatigue. While COVID-19 has led to a global pandemic with significant public health impacts, seasonal influenza remains a major health concern worldwide. Timely and accurate detection is crucial for effective treatment and infection control.

Hysen Influenza A+B/COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test Device is a 3 in 1 rapid visual immunoassay for the qualitative, presumptive detection of influenza A and B viral antigens and COVID-19 Antigen form throat swabs and nasopharyngeal swab specimens. The test is intended for use as an aid in the rapid differential diagnosis of acute influenza type A and type B virus and COVID-19 infection.

This user-friendly kit delivers results within 15–20 minutes, making it suitable for point-of-care testing in clinics, hospitals, and community health centers. The test device contains separate detection lines for SARS-CoV-2, influenza A, influenza B, and a control line to ensure proper functioning.

The steps to test the Hysen Influenza A+B/COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test are simple,

a)Collect Specimen – Collect throat swab or Nasopharyngeal swab samples according to the instruction for use.

b)Prepare the Sample – Place the swab into the extraction buffer tube to extract the sample.

c)Apply to Test Device – Add 4 drops of the extracted sample into the sample well of test device.

d)Read Results – Wait for the colored band(s) to appear. Read results at 10 minutes. Do not interpret the result after 20 minutes.

Interpretation of Results

Positive Result:

Flu B Positive: A color band appears in the control band region (C) and another colored band appears in the B region.

Flu A Positive: A color band appears in the control band region (C) and another colored band appears in the A region.

Flu A+B Positive: A color band appears in the control band region (C) and two other colored band appear in the A region and B region, respectively.

COVID-19 Positive: A color band appears in the control band region (C) and another colored band appears in the N region.

Negative Result:

Only one colored band appears, in the control band region (C). No band appears in either test band region (A/B/N).

Invalid Result:

Control band fails to appear. Results from any test which has not produced a control band at the specified reading time must be discarded. Please review the procedure and repeat with a new test. If the problem persists, discontinue using the kit immediately and contact your local distributor.
